The Lech-Anger, fruit of a competition organized by the Bavarian State and the City of Landsberg (Germany), proposes a neighbourhood that does not simply densify, but connects. Organised around a central Anger, a meadow held in common, historically shared for agricultural use, gatherings, and community life, the backbone of the neighbourhood meanders through the site, linking Akazienstraße with a public park and generating a sequence of plazas, open spaces, and places for everyday encounter.

Principles
The project is based on three spatial and technical principles: circularity, flexibility, and biodiversity. Circular systems integrate renewable energy, water management, and green roofs that combine photovoltaic production with stormwater retention. Modular construction and multifunctional spaces allow the neighbourhood to adapt over time.
A mosaic of meadows, tree plantings, and retention landscapes strengthens ecological continuity across the site.

pedestrian routes
Rainwater management
Energy plan
Landscaping and Planting Scheme

MODULAR FLOOR PLANS

Project phases
The development of the district is planned to take place in four successive phases, allowing the project to evolve gradually while maintaining a coherent spatial and ecological framework. Conceived as an urban-rural hybrid, the project reconnects fragmented city and landscape structures, drawing on the qualities of the historic old town, surrounding natural landscapes, and adjacent agricultural fields.
